The extension of lockdown presents an unexpected opportunity to turn a trip into remote work. We hatch a plan to spend weekends travelling and weekdays working from the van. While we were initially planning to ship our rig home and fly from Broome, the prospect of returning to lockdown now seemed like a waste.

The kids’ schooling is moving online indefinitely, and work is now entirely online. At Salesforce, we are talking about Success from Anywhere, so it seems the perfect opportunity to test out how remote work can be. With technologies like Slack and a mobile broadband connection, I can now remain connected to our “Digital HQ”.
